Memory Pendant: Hanging Dichroic Glass Memorial Memory pendants are artist-made glass pendants with a small amount of your companion's cremains fused and protected between layers of glass. Each pendant consists of 3 layers of glass. The bottom layer is iridized black glass, the middle layer is comprised of several pieces of different colored dichroic glass with the top layer being a cap of clear glass. The cremains are fused between the bottom layer & dichroic glass layers. There are two styles available, visible pendants will have a clear piece of dichroic over the cremains & non-visible pendants will have the cremains hidden behind a piece of opaque dichroic glass.

 Each piece of dichroic glass has three colors associated with it: a reflected color, a transmitted color and a third reflective color that can be viewed at a 45-degree angle. This causes the glass to change color as the light hits it from different angles. The complexity in creating this special glass and the fact that it is somewhat unpredictable to work with makes every Memory Pendant a one-of-a-kind creation. Upon placing your order we will send you a kit containing of a vial and a complete set of instructions. Upon receipt of the kit, a small amount of cremains (approx. 1/4 teaspoon) is placed in the vial and the kit is returned to us. The artist will then design, hand cut, assemble, fire and ship your finished piece of art. Great care and respect is taken at all times when working with cremains. The artist requests, but does not require, a photo of your loved one so they have a sense of the person and the life being commemorated as they work on the piece.
